Very nice fish and chips. Batter was delicious but one of us felt it was too thick. He did, however, snaffle most of my very yummy chips!
The food is outstanding! Our group had a venison bacon burger, charred chicken and thick cut sandwich and tomato and roasted red pepper soup. Also added some local ales and stouts to wash it all down. When we complimented the host and chef they were very humble and appreciative. A bit of a walk from the cruise port, but the extra steps are well worth it!

Nice place in Invergordon - hotel with a cafe, basically a b&b. My room was generally clean, the bed was comfy (new, with a good mattress, about 180 cm long). The rest of the furniture was a bit old, especially the TV – some ancient, cheap smart TV – but honestly, you don’t need a TV to enjoy the stay. The bathroom was private and part of my room (not exactly en-suite, but a separate private room). Good shower and toilet. I liked the room overall. Breakfast was included and served in the cafe. They offer a choice of 4 hot dishes (like scrambled eggs with salmon, full Scottish, etc.) plus a continental option with tea, coffee, croissants, fruit, yoghurt, cornflakes, juice, and so on.
